1. What Is Responsible Gaming?
Responsible gaming means playing with intention — knowing before you start how much time and money you are comfortable spending, and sticking to those limits regardless of whether you are winning or losing. It means treating your Megablock account the same way you would treat any other form of entertainment spending: you decide the budget upfront, and when the budget is gone, you stop.
Betting on cricket, PSL matches, T20 internationals, slots, or live casino games can be genuinely fun. The problem is not betting itself — it is betting without limits, betting with money you cannot afford to lose, or continuing to play to chase back what you have already lost. All three of those patterns lead to harm.
Responsible gaming is not about playing less — it is about playing smarter. A user who deposits PKR 500, watches a PSL match, places a few bets and walks away whether they win or lose is a responsible player. A user who deposits PKR 5,000 intending to deposit PKR 500 is not — even if they win.
2. The Difference Between Recreational Play and a Problem
Most users on Megablock play recreationally. They check in during a big cricket match, place a few bets on PSL, play a few rounds of slots, and close the app. Their gaming has clear natural endpoints — the match ends, the balance runs down to the limit they had in mind, and they stop.
Problem gambling looks different. The bets get larger. The sessions get longer. A loss triggers an immediate deposit to win it back. Wins feel like progress toward a financial goal rather than just a lucky outcome. The platform starts to feel like a source of income rather than a form of entertainment. Plans and promises to stop are repeatedly broken.
The shift from recreational to problematic play is often gradual. There is rarely a single moment where it tips over — it builds across weeks or months. That is why the self-assessment checklist in the next section matters: honest answers to those questions can reveal patterns before they become serious.
It is also worth noting that betting on cricket or PSL outcomes does not involve any skill that reliably produces long-term profit. Outcome prediction, even by experts, is unreliable. The odds on any platform are structured so that over a large enough number of bets, the house retains a margin. This is not a criticism of betting as entertainment — it is just an honest description of what it is. Entertainment has a cost. On Megablock, that cost is whatever you decide to deposit.
3. Warning Signs — Honest Self-Assessment
Read through the following statements honestly. If several of them feel familiar, it may be worth using one of the responsible gaming tools in your account or speaking to someone you trust.

4. How to Use the Responsible Gaming Tools
All responsible gaming tools are available inside your account settings under the Responsible Gaming section. Here is a quick guide to each one and when to use it.
Deposit Limit
Go to Account Settings → Responsible Gaming → Deposit Limits. Select daily, weekly or monthly. Enter the PKR amount. The limit activates immediately. To increase it later, there is a mandatory review delay.
Loss Limit
Set a maximum PKR loss per period. When reached, betting is paused for the rest of that period. Navigate to Account Settings → Responsible Gaming → Loss Limits to configure.
Session Reminder
Activate session time reminders in Account Settings → Notifications → Session Reminders. Choose your preferred interval — 30, 60 or 90 minutes. A notification will appear on screen at each interval.
Cool-Off Period
For a short break without permanent closure, select Account Settings → Responsible Gaming → Take a Break. Choose your break duration. The account suspends immediately and resumes automatically.
Self-Exclusion
For longer exclusion, go to Account Settings → Responsible Gaming → Self-Exclusion. Select your period. For permanent exclusion, contact support directly. This cannot be reversed during the active period.
Account Closure
Contact Megablock support to request permanent account closure. Your PKR balance will be returned to your original deposit method. Closure is irreversible — a new account cannot be opened for the same identity.
5. Practical Tips for Staying in Control
Tools are only useful if the habits around them support responsible play. Here are practical guidelines that work alongside the platform tools.
Set Your Budget Before You Open the App
Decide how much PKR you are comfortable spending before you log in — not after you start playing. This stops in-session emotions (excitement after a win, frustration after a loss) from influencing deposit decisions. Treat the amount you have set as already spent the moment you deposit it.
Do Not Chase Losses
Chasing losses — depositing more after losing to win back what you lost — is the single most common pattern that turns recreational play into problem gambling. Every bet is independent. The platform does not owe you a recovery bet. If you are down for the session, the session is over.
Keep Gaming Separate from Emotions
Playing when you are stressed, upset, anxious or bored is a risk factor. In those states, decisions about deposits and bets are harder to make clearly. If you are having a rough day, the Megablock app is probably not the right place to spend that energy.
Take Regular Breaks
Use the session reminder tool to prompt breaks. Get up, drink something, check your balance, and make an active decision whether to continue — rather than continuing by default because you have not stopped. This is especially relevant during long T20 matches or extended slot sessions.
Check Your Transaction History Regularly
Your account transaction history shows a full record of deposits, withdrawals and betting activity. Reviewing it weekly gives you an honest picture of your actual spending — which is often different from what people estimate from memory. If the number surprises you, that is useful information.
Do Not Play Under the Influence
Alcohol, cannabis, or other substances reduce impulse control and make it significantly harder to stick to spending decisions made in a sober state. It is a straightforward rule: do not deposit or place bets when you are under the influence.
6. Protecting Others — Minors and Shared Devices
Megablock is strictly an 18+ platform. Age is verified at registration and may be verified again before a withdrawal is processed. We do not knowingly allow users under 18 to register or play. If you believe a minor has accessed an account — yours or a family member's — contact support immediately.
Shared Devices and Family Access
If you use a shared phone, tablet or computer, take steps to prevent younger family members from accessing your Megablock account. Practical measures include:
- Do not save your Megablock password in the browser on a shared device.
- Log out completely after each session — not just close the tab or app.
- Use the screen lock feature on your phone so the app requires authentication to open.
- Enable parental controls on shared devices through the device's built-in settings.
Concerned About Someone Else?
If you are worried that someone you know — a family member or close friend — may have a gambling problem, the most useful thing you can do is have an honest conversation with them. Avoid confrontation or blame. Ask open questions about how they are managing money and stress. Let them know that help is available and that taking a break or setting limits does not require a crisis — it is just a sensible option.
